Facts

History

Unlike many other chromatic and black dragons, Brenna had a preference for causing no harm without reason. She would often walk through towns disguised as a human or dragonborn, singing in taverns and inns and refusing payment from patrons. Her singing was so well-known that even lords and kings would attend her concerts when they heard about them.

As her fame grew, even gods would attend her concerts in disguise. One god, in particular, Danu, was particularly fond of her and would often attend most, if not all, of her concerts.

Death

After one of her performances at a small tavern in a seaside village, Brenna was ambushed by one of her siblings, Thynyl. Jealous of her reputation, he had devised a plan to end her career. He blended in with the crowd, dispelling her illusions and revealing her true form as a black dragon. In the chaos of her transformation, she accidentally destroyed the tavern. Thynyl then revealed himself and pretended to be her subordinate. He then proceeded to kill and destroy most of the village. He struck her down, ensuring that she would be remembered as a deceitful, monstrous black dragon.

Rebirth

Danu, after witnessing the treachery and knowing that Brenna would not have acted that way, intervened and reached out to her in her dying moments. She promised Brenna that she would not die, but instead live as a goddess. Once Brenna awoke in the Fae Wilds, Danu introduced herself and explained that she had revived her as a goddess. "Rahla is dead, live as Brenna and create new music, live the life you deserve," Danu said as she introduced herself. "I now grant you the power of the Tuatha dé Danann. Use this power to live here with us, and to help those that deserve it. You may build a following or continue to create music in our court." With this introduction, Rahla, now known as Brenna, began to explore and meet new people and races. Over time, she found herself drawn to one person in particular, a mothfolk named Azure.
